I found Tony's transplant packet when I was cleaning. It made me think about Jesus Navarro, an immigrant who is being denied a kidney transplant because of his residency status. Jesus has private insurance and a donor, his wife. The hospital seems to be changing their tune now after bad press.
I know that my husband's kidney transplant changed his quality of life. He could be a father again to Amarilis, play with her, pick her up, and it was amazing to see how his face changed after getting a surge of new life.
I continue to pray for Jesus, and all other men, women, and children on dialysis waiting their turn. For more information, contact http://www.kidney.org/.
