I find myself missing a lot of things about Puerto Rico. In particular I miss el flamboyan. I remember riding down roads that had rows of flamboyans on both side of the road. The trees would meet, making a canopy of red flowers. When the trees shed it was the best red carpet ever. We used to have a flamboyan in our house in Puerto Rico. It was beautiful! You have to see these trees in person to truly appreciate their beauty.
